CRANBERRY BANANA BETTY 
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4-5 bananas
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 (16 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce

Combine sugar, crumbs and spices. Reserve 1/2 cup. Peel and slice bananas, sprinkle with lemon juice. Arrange alternate layers of crumb mixture and bananas in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Spread cranberry sauce over top. Sprinkle reserve crumbs and lemon peel on top. Bake 25 minutes in 375 degree oven. Serve warm or chilled with cream. Serves 6.
