RAW APPLE CAKE 
7/8 c. Crisco oil
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, added one at a time
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix all ingredients and beat well. Add 3 cups diced raw apples and bake in 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cover with topping.

TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk

Bring to a boil and cook 2-3 minutes. Pour over cake. Cool; cut into squares when ready to serve.
