RAISIN PUFF COOKIES 
2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar

Boil raisins and 1 cup water together until water is gone. Beat oil and sugar together. Add eggs and then vanilla. Combine with flour, salt, baking soda and raisins; stir well. Dough will be fairly stiff. May have to work the raisins in by hand. Form into balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Yield: 4 1/2 to 5 dozen.
