CRUNCHY NUTTY MUFFINS 
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. crisp whole wheat flakes
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk

In small bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. In medium bowl, cream softened butter and blend in sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing after each. Mix in cereal. Combine milk and vanilla. Add flour and milk mixtures alternately, mixing just enough to moisten. Divide batter into 12 to 15 muffin tins, well greased on bottom only. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
