CRUNCHY MUFFINS 
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
2/3 c. milk
1 c. corn flakes

Mix flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture, mixing only enough to moisten flour. Fold in cereal. Spoon batter into muffin pans, filling each about 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
