TASTY BEEF TACO CASSEROLE | |
1 to 2 lb. ground beef 1 medium onion of your choice (a sweet Vidalia onion is best) 2 (8 oz. ea.) bags Mexican style "fiesta" shredded cheese 1 big bag tortilla chips (your favorite) 2 env. taco seasoning any other seasonings to the beef that you would like (optional) Preheat oven to 350°F. Brown and break up the ground beef in a skillet until it is golden brown. After the hamburger is nice and browned, add in sliced onions. Drain out almost all of the grease (or all if you wish), and put back into the pan. In a glass or metal baking pan that is big enough to hold all of the hamburger, add in enough tortilla chips to cover the bottom. You can sprinkle this with a little bit of the cheese, if desired. Pour in the hamburger into the pan. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top of the hamburger mixture. Put the casserole into the oven and bake at 350°F for about 5 minutes, or whenever the cheese starts to bubble and melt. Take out and enjoy! Be careful, because the casserole dish will be hot. You may want to serve with salsa or dairy sour cream, or anything else that tickles your fancy. Submitted by: Adfeng |
