HONEY APPLE CAKE 
3/4 to 1 c. honey
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
dash salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. whole wheat pastry flour
4 c. diced apples
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Cream together: honey, butter, and eggs. Sift together: flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla and then stir in apples. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and poke holes in cake with large fork. Bring to a boil: 4 tablespoons butter, 1/2 cup honey and a dash of salt; pour over cake.
