GLAZED CRANBERRY COOKIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. milk
1 egg
2 tbsp. orange juice
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. coarsely chopped cranberries
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugars and butter, stir in milk, orange juice and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients except Browned Butter Glaze. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 10 to 15 minutes. Cool; spread with glaze, if desired.

BROWNED BUTTER GLAZE:

1/3 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 to 4 tbsp. hot water

Heat butter over low heat until golden brown; cool slightly. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat in hot water until smooth and of desired consistency. Makes 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
