CINNAMON 'N SPICE APPLE FLIPOVER 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix with butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
3 eggs

TOPPING:

4 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch pan.

In saucepan, combine apples, sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Cook over low heat until apples are tender. Set aside until cool and you mix cake.

In large bowl, mix cake mix with other ingredients on medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes. Spread apple mixture over bottom of prepared pan. Cover with batter and spread evenly over apples. Bake 35 to 45 minutes until pick comes out clean. Invert cake as soon as it is removed from oven. Serve warm or cooled. Very good with whipped topping.
