FRESH STRAWBERRY JAM | |
5 c. crushed strawberries 2 tsp. lemon juice 1 (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. powdered fruit pectin 7 c. sugar Combine strawberries, lemon juice, and pectin in 4 quart micro-proof bowl. Cover with plastic warp and cook on high, 10-11 minutes or until mixture boils. Stir once during cooking time. Stir in sugar, cook in high, 10-12 minutes, or until mixture boils hard for at least 1 minute. Skim off foam. Pour into 8 ounce hot sterilized jelly glasses and seal with two piece vacuum-type lids according to manufacturers directions. Makes 8 jars. |
