PINEAPPLE CRUNCHIES 
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. Corn Flakes
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Drain pineapple; reserve juice. Cream butter in small bowl of the electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add sugar gradually and beat until blended. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla and 1 tablespoon pineapple juice. Stir in Corn Flakes. Shape into balls about 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Place on cookie sheet and make a slight indentation in each with thumb. Fill with pineapple and sprinkle with nuts. Bake in preheated electric oven or roaster. 350 degree oven, 20 minutes. Yield 4 dozen.
