APPLE PECAN BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. coarsely chopped apples
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well. Add dry ingredients; blend well. Fold in apples and pecans. Lightly coat standard size loaf pan with shortening. No vegetable oil sprays. Put dough mix in loaf pan. Bake 1 hour. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes, then remove. Serve warm or cold. Makes 1 loaf.
