LENTIL-SAUSAGE SOUP 
1 c. lentils
5-7 c. water
1 med. chopped onion
12 oz. to 1 lb. smoked or Polish sausage or turkey sausage, quartered lengthwise and sliced 1/2 inch thick
1 bunch broccoli, chopped
2 carrots, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. beef bouillon
1/2 tsp. dried basil
Salt and pepper

Rinse lentils and drain. Combine all but sausage and broccoli. Simmer covered for 1/2 hour. Add sausage and broccoli, return to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes until vegetables are tender.
