DANISH PUFF 
Part I:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water

Part II:

1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
3 eggs

Part I: Mix with fork, round into ball. Divide into 2 strips 12 x 3 inches on ungreased cookie sheet.

Part II: Bring water and butter to boil. Remove from heat. Add almond flavoring and quickly beat in flour to prevent lumping. When smooth, add 3 eggs one at a time, then, divide in half, spread on pastry.

Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Pastry has a tendency to shrink while baking, leaving a lowly crusty portion in center. Frost with icing and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

ICING:

1 c. powdered sugar
4 tsp. warm milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Served at meeting at Wendell's.
