CLEVELAND CHERRY SQUARES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix in order. Spread 1/2 of batter in pan 13 x 9 x 2 inches; cover with cherry pie filling. Dot with rest of batter over top. Bake 40-45 minutes.
