KRINGLER 
2 c. flour
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. water
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Cream

Mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter and 2 tablespoons water; pat out in three 3 inch wide strips on cookie sheet. Boil 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter in saucepan; remove from heat. Add remaining flour; stir until smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time, stirring after each addition. Add salt and 1/2 tsp. almond extract. Spread on top of dough strips. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour in 375 degree oven. Cool slowly in oven with door open about 6 inches. Mix remaining butter, powdered sugar and extract with enough cream to make frosting. Frost pastry.
