2 c. warm milk 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. mashed potatoes Mix in bowl with mixer. 1 cake of yeast Place in small bowl. 2 beaten eggs Add to milk mixture. Add yeast to water mixture. Add 7 cups flour slowly. Mix well. Let raise until double in bulk. Roll, not too thin. Cut in rounds or bars. Let rise 20 to 25 minutes. Fry in deep fat at 390 degrees. Glaze with: 2 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. hot water Dash of salt 1 tsp. vanilla or maple |
