BAGELS 
1 pkg. yeast
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. warm water
3 c. all purpose flour

Mix yeast, sugar, salt and water; add flour, enough so it feels right for kneading. Knead for 10 minutes. Let rise for 20 minutes. Shape dough into bagel shapes, dip into a pan of boiling water (one by one) until they bob to the surface. Let dry on a towel. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes or until they are lightly browned.
