SUKIYAKI 
1 lb. boneless beef top sirloin steak
1 tsp. cooking oil
2 c. fresh bean sprouts, rinsed
1 can (8 oz.) sliced bamboo shoots, drained
2 c. (8 oz.) sliced fresh mushrooms
10 green onions, cut into 1/2 inch pieces (including tops)
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. hot water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. instant beef bouillon

Cut meat across grain into strips 1/4 inch thick and about 2 inches long. combine meat and oil in shallow 10 inch microwave safe casserole; toss to coat evenly. Move to one side of dish. Add sprouts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and green onions, forming separate little piles of each.

Combine sugar, water, soy sauce and bouillon; mix well. Pour over beef and vegetables. Microwave (high) uncovered 8 to 10 minutes or until meat is cooked to medium rare, stirring each food twice. About 6 servings, 185 calories each.

Tips: Canned bean sprouts and mushrooms can be substituted for fresh. Drain and add as directed. Tofu can be cubed and added with vegetables.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
