P.'S HOT CORN CAKES 
1 egg
1 c. + 2 tbsp. milk
1/4 c. plain flour
1 1/4 c. meal
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening

Beat egg and shortening together. Add a little of the milk. Then add dry ingredients and milk alternately. Cook thin cakes on top of stove or electric frying pan.
