3 c. white sugar 1 1/2 c. Mocha mix (liquid coffee creamer) 1 c. corn syrup 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. candied fruit 1 c. sliced almonds 1 1/2 c. broken pecans Put sugar, creamer, syrup and salt in heavy saucepan. Cook until sugar dissolves without stirring. Remove, add vanilla and beat 20 minutes or until creamy and holds shape, will be stringy. By hand stir in fruit and nuts. Press into 2 buttered 8 inch pans. Chill until can be cut. Store in refrigerator 24 hours before serving. Work fast and have hands buttered, very sticky. |
