SEASIDE CANDY ROLL | |
1/3 c. light corn syrup 1/3 c. butter 1 tsp. maple flavoring 1/2 tsp. salt 1 lb. confectioners' sugar, sifted 1 c. chopped pecans In large bowl, mix together first 4 ingredients. Add sugar and mix thoroughly. Knead until smooth. Knead in 1/2 cup nuts. Shape mixture into 2 rolls, each 2 inches thick; brush with syrup and roll in 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Wrap; chill and then slice 1/4 inch thick. Makes 1 1/2 pounds. |
