HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 lbs. hash browns (Ore-Ida hash brown patties)
16 oz. carton sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Salt
Cheese - enough to cover top

Thaw hash brown patties and separate. Saute onions in butter. Mix all ingredients except cheese thoroughly. Place in 9 x 13 inch casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Top with cheese and bake 15 minutes more.
