CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. (I use 1 1/2 c.) sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. reg. oats, uncooked
1 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and oil. Gradually cream in sugars, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time and beat. Add vanilla. Combine flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar. Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and remaining ingredients; mix well. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. 375 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes.
