MONDEL BROT 
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1 sm. bag (2 3/4 oz.) slivered almonds
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend oil and sugar, add beaten eggs and mix well. Combine flour with baking powder, almonds and chocolate morsels. Stir into egg mixture until thoroughly mixed. Add vanilla extract, blending well. Shape dough into 3 equal, thick strips on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven; cut crosswise into 1/2 inch slices. Turn heat to 400 degrees until slices are toasty and lightly browned.
