1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
2/3 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine and cream together the sugar, brown sugar, shortening and vanilla. Add beaten egg and beat well. Then mix in peanut butter. Sift flour and soda into batch and stir. Form into shape desired on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees until done.
