BARBECUED SHRIMP 
3 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 lb. butter
2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp. Old Bay seasoning
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 1/2 lb. lg. shrimp with shells

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Fry bacon until clear. Add butter and all other ingredients except shrimp. Simmer 5 minutes. Place shrimp in open baking dish and cover with the sauce. Stir to coat. Bake uncovered 20 minutes, stirring twice during the baking. Serve hot. Pour sauce in separate dish so can dip in the shrimp. Messy! Get towels.

A Jeff Smith recipe... Perhaps from his first book... Except he used margarine instead of butter. A family favorite!!!! Required for special occasions.
