1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa together into bowl. Stir in milk, shortening and nuts. Pour in 9 inch square pan. Top with brown sugar and cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 45 minutes in 350 degree oven. Serve warm. For extra goodness, top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
