TOFFEE BARS 
2 sticks (1 c.) butter
1 c. light brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 (6 oz.) pack Hershey's bars
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar. Add egg yolk and beat. Stir in flour and salt. Spread to cover bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes (it will be slightly shaky when pan is moved). Test with toothpick or cake tester for doneness, if desired. Immediately lay the 6 Hershey bars on top of hot cake. When chocolate is melted, spread with spatula to cover entire contents of pan. Sprinkle with nuts. When slightly cooled, cut with sharp knife. Cool thoroughly before serving.
