POUND CAKE 
1 stick butter
2 sticks butter, softened
3. c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour (plain)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. black walnuts

Cream butter, butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Alternating flour mixture and milk, add to creamed mixture. Add nuts and vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake for about 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Bake at 350 degrees.
