ASPARAGUS WITH SOUR CREAM 
1 pkg. frozen asparagus spears or 2 cans asparagus
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttered crumbs

Cook asparagus according to package directions, drain and place in heated serving dish. Heat gently cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice and salt. Pour over asparagus and top with crumbs. Place under the broiler a minute or two until delicately browned and bubbly.

Buttered Crumbs: Buttered crumbs are an excellent topping for vegetables and many casserole dishes. To prepare them, add 1/4 cup melted butter to 1 cup soft crumbs. Crumbs may be stirred in the butter over heat to brown them a little. Make the crumbs in your electric blender, if you have one. They should not be too fine.
