I do the same thing but quirk it up a little bit. Let the cream cheese soften, use a can of canned crab meat, and shred the shrimp with a cheese grater. Combine softened cream cheese, crab meat and shredded shrimp in a bowl. Form into a ball or lump, if you will. Pour cocktail sauce on top and serve with your favorite cracker (I use Ritz).

Here's another version: After spreading out the cream cheese and topping it with the cocktail sauce add baby shrimp to it. Spread on crackers! Yummy!
