SOUTHERN PECAN PIE | |
1 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. corn syrup 4 eggs 4 tbsp. butter, melted 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 c. pecan halves 1 unbaked 9" pie shell In a small saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup and bring to a boil. Boil 2 to 3 minutes. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs for 1 minute. Carefully add warm sugar syrup mixture, while still mixing, then the melted butter and vanilla. Stir in the pecans. Pour into pie shell. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. |
