MARIE'S RUM CAKE 
4 eggs
1 c. corn or vegetable oil
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. white rum
1 pkg. Betty Crocker yellow cake mix (with pudding)
1 pkg. (4 serving) vanilla instant pudding
Walnuts, crushed fine (1/4 c.), crushed coarse (1/2 c.) (opt.)

Grease and lightly flour bundt pan. Sprinkle fine walnuts evenly in bottom. In bowl, beat eggs thoroughly; add oil, water and rum. Gradually add cake mix and pudding. Add coarse nuts to batter if desired. Pour into bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Leave cake in pan to cool.

While cake is baking, prepare sauce: 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. water 1/2 c. white rum

Mix in saucepan and bring to rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute, set aside to cool. Pour over partially cooled cake (in bundt pan) and let stand 1/2 to 1 hour. Remove cake from pan by flipping onto cake plate.
