MAMA'S BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 box light brown sugar
1 c. white granulated sugar
5 eggs
5 c. unsifted cake flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1 c. nuts

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well. Gradually add the cake flour, milk, maple flavorings, and nuts. Grease bottom only of tube pan. Bake at 250 degrees about 2 hours. DO NOT preheat oven.
