FIG AND STRAWBERRY SUPRISE! 
6 c. fresh figs
6 c. sugar
2 pkg. (6 oz.) strawberry Jello

Wash and peel figs. Mash well. DO NOT USE BLENDER. Place in a large pot with sugar. Heat until figs start to cook. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Add dry Jello and simmer 10 minutes more. Stir often. Pour into hot sterilized jars. Seal. Yields 5 to 6 pints.
