STRAWBERRY FIG PRESERVES | |
5 1/2 c. figs 8 c. sugar 1 box Sure Jell 1 box strawberry Jello Remove stems from figs. Mash fruit. Cook figs with 1/2 cup water until tender. Measure sugar and set aside. Stir Sure Jell into figs. Bring to a full boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Stir and bring to a full rolling boil. Add Jello. Boil hard, 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Take off heat. Skim foam from top of mixture. Place in sterilized jars and seal. |
