ITALIAN BREAD 
8 c. flour (or more)
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. Crisco
3 c. warm water
2 pkgs. dry yeast (1 cake)

Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water, mix together all ingredients. Grease a bowl, let rise 10 minutes, for 5 times punching down after each 10 minute intervals. After it raises for sixth time, divide into 3 equal parts. Roll on floured surface same as for pie crust. Roll towards yourself and form loaf with ends pinched together. Let rise for 1 1/2 hours or until double in bulk. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Bake on cookie sheets.
