SUMMER COOL SALAD | |
18 lg. marshmallows 1 c. milk 1 pkg. (6 oz.) lemon or lime Jello 1 can (#2) crushed pineapple, undrained 1 c. carrots 1 c. chopped celery 1 c. cottage cheese 1/2 c. sour cream 1 c. Cool Whip 1/2 c. chopped nuts Melt marshmallows in top of double boiler, pour hot mixture over gelatin, stir until dissolved. Cool. Add pineapple, carrots, celery, cottage cheese and sour cream. Chill this until jellied, then fold in whipped cream or Cool Whip. Add nuts, pour in mold and refrigerate. Makes a large salad. |
