COPPER COUNTRY PASTIES 
1/2 c. rutabaga
1/2 lb. beef
1/2 lb. pork
3 med. potatoes
1 lg. onion

Dice all filling ingredients. Add salt and pepper to taste.

CRUST:

1/4 c. lard
3/4 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour

Pour hot water over lard. Add salt and flour and form into dough. Divide dough into 4 pieces and roll each piece into a circle.

Place 1/4 of the filling mixture in the center of each circle. Moisten edge of dough with water and fold in half. Crimp edges to seal. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
