CANDIED CARROTS 
6 med. carrots, about 1 1/2 lb.
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
6 tbsp. water
3 tbsp. butter

Set out small baking dish. Wash and pare or scrape carrots. Cook whole carrots 15-25 minutes, or until just tender.

Meanwhile combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Stirring constantly, cooked over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Drain carrots and place in baking dish. Cover with sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes or until carrots are completely glazed; baste occasionally. Makes 6 servings.
