HEAVY DUTY TACO DIP 
1-2 lb. ground beef
2 (16 oz.) cans refried beans
1 lg. onion, chopped
2/3 c. chili salsa or taco sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chili
2 c. grated cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

Fry ground beef and onions until meat is brown and crumbly. Drain in colander. In 9"x13" baking dish mix meat with beans, half of salsa, seasonings, chopped chilies and half of cheese. Smooth out top of mixture and sprinkle with remaining grated cheese. Spiral remaining salsa over top of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If desired, dip can be garnished with sour cream or guacamole or both.
