LEMON BISQUE | |
1 pkg. lemon Jello 3/4 c. hot water 1/4 c. sugar 1 lg. can evaporated milk, chilled 1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, crushed fine Juice and grated rind of 1 lemon Mix Jello with hot water, add sugar, lemon juice and rind. Let mixture stand until syrupy. Whip chilled milk until it stands in peaks. Fold in the thickened Jello. Sprinkle 1/2 of vanilla wafer crumbs into a shallow pan or dish. Dip by large spoonfuls the Jello mixture into the vanilla wafer crumbs. Top more crumbs over the top. Chill until firm. |
