SWISS STEAK MOZZARELLA 
2 lb. sirloin or round steak
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. butter
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. basil
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Place meat on flat counter, sprinkle with flour and pound with meat hammer. Cut into serving strips. Melt butter in heavy skillet. Brown meat slowly on all sides. Mix together tomatoes, salt, pepper, and basil. Pour over meat. Cover tightly and let simmer 1 hour. Add onion and green pepper. Cook 25 to 30 minutes or until onion is tender. Pour into oven-proof serving dish; sprinkle with cheese and slide under broiler a moment until cheese melts. Serve 8.
