2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
5 eggs, room temperature
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and cream. Add flour and vanilla, and beat well. Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour WITHOUT opening the oven door.

NOTE: There is not salt in this recipe. Also cake will fall in oven if door is opened before the hour.
