CHEESY POTATOES 
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
butter
Salt and pepper as desired
1 c. finely shredded cheese (mild)
Water (sm. amount)

Alternate layers of potatoes and cheese in a buttered casserole dish. Salt and pepper each layer. Top with cheese and pepper. Add a small amount of water, about 1/4 cup to prevent sticking. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove cover and brown top of casserole for about 15 minutes. Serves 4.
