ICE BURG CUCUMBER PICKLES 
7 lbs. cucumbers (sliced crosswise)
2 c. picklin' lime to 2 gallons water

Soak cucumber slices 24 hours in lime water, then rinse in 3 different cool waters. Soak 3 hours in ice and water. Remove and drain.

SYRUP:

2 qt. vinegar
4 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 tbsp. salt

Pour syrup over cucumbers and let them set overnight. Add pickling spice to suit taste. Boil mixture for 35 minutes and put into containers. Refrigerate before serving.
