BUTTERMILK PRALINES 
2 c. white sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix together and add dash of salt. Cook over medium heat in deep vessel to soft boil stage. Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and a lump of butter. Add 3/4 cup chopped pecans. Beat until cloudy.

Drop on wax paper about silver dollar size. Should make 24-30 pralines. Wrap individually in saran wrap.
