TEA CAKES 
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. milk

Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together. Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla, then add sifted ingredients and milk. Roll and cut. Bake on baking sheet at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 dozen tea cakes.
