VEGETABLE STUFFED ROUND STEAK | |
3 tbsp. round steak, cut thin 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/2 c. flour 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped 1/4 c. carrots, shredded 1/3 c. celery, chopped 2 tbsp. onion, minced 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces 1/2 tbsp. salt 1 c. beef broth 1 tbsp. catsup Pinch of sugar Remove bone from steak; cut steak in 6 strips. Combine salt and flour; pound into meat. Mix together green pepper, carrots, celery, onion, mushroom pieces and salt. Divide evenly and spread filling over half of each meat strip. Roll up meat. Tie with strings. Heat skillet 3 minutes. Add oil; brown meat on all sides, about 5 minutes. Add broth, catsup and sugar; cover. Simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender. |
